Rubbermaid Closet Organizer Offers Storage Solution

Storage solutions for the home have been one of Rubbermaid's strong points during the company's decades of production. The housewares products company even has outdoor storage sheds for garden tools and patio furniture. The company even makes a small garage made from the same materials as their outdoor playhouses and indoor sandwich keepers. It only stands to reason it would introduce the Rubbermaid closet organizer to help people keep every closet in their home organized.

From small shelving units that fit into the closet to hold shoes and other small items, to units for a full sized closet that is divided into multiple configurations to suit the needs of the individual. Typically, hanging clothes are not a real problem, as most closets have a rod on which they can hang and most even have a shelf over the rod for items that do not need to hang. However, the average closet lacks sufficient space for many other things that are usually found on the closet floor.

Shoes, hats, purses and many other items often make their way into closets where the only place for them is the floor or on top of another item already on the top shelf. Hall closets, or ones meant for coats and jackets can also be a challenge if that closet is also used for storage of household products such as paper towels or napkins. Boots are usually left outside, but somehow there will always seem to be someone's shoes or slippers on the floor of the hall closet.

A Rubbermaid closet organizer (much like a Kolkraft baby closet organizer) can be configured to fit nearly every size closet in any room in the home. With additional shelves with rods underneath, the average closet can nearly double in usable space. In most instances, the existing rod and shelf will need to be removed so that the new one can be installed higher. This can actually allow for hanging two rods, one on top of the other, as well as provide additional shelf space. Smaller, thinner shelves can be hung from the rod to hold shelves for shoes and purses.

With a Rubbermaid closet organizer soft-sided units can hang from the existing rod to hold shoes and other small items, allowing more shelf space than is available for hanging clothes. As many is five or six additional shelves can be added in one foot of rod. Yes, there will be fewer shirts that will fit hanging on the road, but it will provide room for at least a dozen pairs of shoes. Purses and hats can also fit on the shelves instead ending up in a pile on the floor.

As with many products manufactured by Rubbermaid, closet organizer units also hold storage boxes and some of them are equipped with sliding drawers to hold folded items such as socks. With much more room in the closet, clothes that are typically stored in dresser drawers can come out of hiding and will not become as wrinkled as they do while crumpled up in a dark drawer.
